The Dutch Canal, also known as the Hamilton Canal, is a 14.5-kilometer waterway connecting Puttalam to Colombo, passing through the beautiful city of Negombo, Sri Lanka. Built by the British in 1802, the Dutch canal was originally intended to drain saltwater out of the Muthurajawela wetlands. Today, the Dutch canal offers a scenic boat tour
